Ralph J. Torrence, M.D.

Dr. Ralph Torrence joined St. Louis Urological Surgeons in 1989. A native of St. Louis, Dr. Torrence is a graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia and received his medical degree from Georgetown University, Washington, DC.


After service with the United States Public Health Service from 1980 to 1983, he received his surgical and urology training at Washington University/Barnes Hospital from 1983 to 1989. He was board certified in urology in 1992.


Dr. Torrence practices general urology, and has special interest in prostate and bladder cancer, as well as renal cell carcinoma and stone disease.


Dr. Torrence is a member of the grievance committee of the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society, and chairman of the Medical Records Committee at Christian Hospital Northeast. He is a life member of the National Registry of Who's Who.


Dr. Torrence is married with five children, and enjoys gardening and woodworking. He is currently pursuing his interest in music by learning to play Uillean pipes.
