Anthony E. Fathman, M.D.


Dr. Anthony Fathman is the senior partner of St. Louis Urological Surgeons. A native of Clarksville, Missouri, Dr. Fathman received his medical degree from Washington University in 1964. He received his surgical and urological training at Washington University/Barnes Hospital from 1968 to 1972. He was board certified in 1974 and is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.


Dr. Fathman served three years in the United States Navy, including one year with the First Marine Division in South Vietnam.


Dr. Fathman practices general urology and has special interest in urologic cancer surgery, brachytherapy (radioactive seed implants) for prostate cancer, and penile and sphincter protheses. He was the first urologist in the St. Louis area to perform the brachytherapy procedure.


Dr. Fathman has served as chief of urology at St. Luke's Hospital and chief of the medical staff at Christian Hospital Northeast and is also past president of the Missouri chapter of the American College of Surgeons.He is married with two children, and enjoys music, fly fishing, and writing.
